On 7 November 2025, GVT organised a landmark “Shetkari Samvad Melava”, a farmer interaction gathering in Sirsala, Beed District. Over 40,000 farmers participated in this event, presided over by Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture & Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan ji, who visited GVT Krishikul, and addressed the farmers. He reviewed the cluster-based plantation programme developed by GVT, different demonstration plots, classrooms and laboratories set up for farmer training, soil enhancement programme to improve soil organic carbon and thus crop yield through different interventions. Deeply impressed by the detailed, data-driven, scientific and structured approach undertaken by GVT, the Hon’ble Minister announced that the Central and State Governments will collaborate with GVT to replicate this model across India and align it with ongoing agricultural reforms. Following the programme, the Minister inspected the flood-affected areas and GVT’s intervention sites, observing the water conservation structures and plantation work implemented. His visit further underscored the relevance of GVT’s model in enhancing farmer resilience and shaping future agricultural strategies. With this high-level endorsement and commitment, we can expect major developments in the near future, particularly in scaling GVT’s model, expanding collaborative programmes, and accelerating transformative reforms for Indian agriculture.
